7th Rugby (Bilton) Scout Group has a meeting place next to Alwyn Road in Bilton, Rugby. The group is home to over 120 members between the ages of 6 and 18 in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. We are a busy, active and outdoor group. Our sections provide young people with over 40 nights away from home, plenty of day trips and some great activities during meeting nights each year. If you don’t believe me, why not give it a try!
During the autumn term in 2009 we successfully opened our second Beaver and Cub sections to keep up with the demand for spaces for 6-10 year olds. As our building turned 30 last September we have also started work on improving our meeting place, this is quite possibly one of the biggest projects undertaken in the groups 80 year history! We’ve been busy though, in just 4 months we’ve managed to raise over £9000! A huge thank you to every one of our leaders and parents for helping out to make that possible. Whether you packed bags at Sainsbury’s, helped Santa at his grotto, bought a raffle ticket to win one of our Christmas hampers or put on your wellies to help deliver the scout Christmas post, every little bit helps!
With all that’s planned for 2010, it looks like it’ll be another fantastic year at 7th Rugby Scout Group! If you’re not already involved, why not join in?
